Tips for Grooming Your Persian Cat

Gently brush your Persian's coat daily to remove loose hairs and distribute skin oils that keep fur shiny.

Brush Daily

Bathe your Persian every 4-8 weeks using cat shampoo and conditioner to keep their coat clean and manageable.

Bathe Monthly

Trim nails every 2-3 weeks so they don't snag the fur. Use cat-safe clippers and styptic powder in case of bleeding.

Groom Nails

Carefully wipe Persian eyes daily with a soft cloth to prevent staining and infection from tear buildup.

Clean Eyes

Gently work out mats and tangles with a stainless steel comb instead of scissors to avoid hurting the skin.

Comb for Mats

A cat conditioner makes brushing easier and keeps fur from getting dry, tangled, or matted.

Use Conditioner

Occasionally apply cat-safe leave-in conditioning sprays between baths to boost shine and softness.
